Established in 1910, Goode & Davies originally set up as a painting and decorating firm and found themselves repairing leaded lights along the way. This side of the business grew rapidly, and the company became well known in the local and surrounding areas for carrying out both repairs and creating new designs in stained glass, as well as continuing with the general glazing.

In 2002, Tanith Harvey-Smith set up as a freelancer in Shropshire undertaking regular work for the company until Jan 2004, where she then took over the running of the stained glass department full time. It was in the May of 2004 that due to the ill health of the owner, Mr Brian Breeze, Tanith took over Goode & Davies permanently and has been running it ever since.

100 years on, and the company is still going strong. Having decided to abandon the general commercial glazing side of the business to concentrate on specialising solely in stained glass, Tanith has used her 12 years of knowledge, experience and expertise gained from her apprenticeship in Italy and work within a high graded Conservation studio, on many historical and domestic windows.
